This Halloween, Alresford Hall comes alive after dark for a spectacular evening of spooky adventure, magical mischief, fire and fireworks at the Halloween Fireworks Festival!
But something wicked is afoot…
The Wicked Witch has stolen the fireworks, determined to plunge the evening into darkness and cause chaos at Alresford Hall. There’s only one way to stop her — brave little witches, wizards and monsters must take on the Trick or Treat Trail, following the clues, meeting spooky characters and collecting delicious treats along the way. Complete the trail and help recover the stolen fireworks before it’s too late!
But the Halloween magic doesn’t stop there. Feel the heat as our Fire Performer brings the flames to life, get wonderfully messy at the Slime Station, and step into the spotlight at our Fancy Dress Competition to show off your most spectacularly spooky costume. Challenge your friends and family with Halloween Funfair Games, transform yourself with Neon Face Painting, and enjoy delicious food and drinks throughout the evening.
As night falls, the atmosphere builds. Head to the Sparkler Zone and prepare to light up the darkness before everyone gathers for the grand finale…

FAQs
Is parking free?
Yes, parking is FREE. Parking is via the entrance to Wyvernwood, St. Osyth Road, Colchester, Alresford, Essex, CO7 8AP.
Are dogs allowed?
Unfortunately, dogs are not allowed, although assistance dogs are allowed.
Is the event suitable for small children?
Yes, the event is suitable for children. We are using low noise fireworks to make it child and wildlife friendly.
What happens if it rains?
We recommend dressing appropriately for the time of year. We can’t control the weather but the show will go on.
Can I bring a food and drink?
Food and drink is not permitted to be brought into the venue.
Are there toilets/changing facilities?
Yes, there are multiple toilets.
Is there disabled access?
Yes, we have both disabled parking close to admissions allowing easy to the event. However the event takes place in a parkland field which does have some uneven terrain and is very slightly sloping.
Are there loud noises?
We are using low noise fireworks to minimise loud noises.
What time should we arrive?
We recommend arriving for 17:00 to ensure you make the most of your evening. The fireworks display starts at 19:15 and lasts roughly 15 minutes.
How long should we expect to stay?
We expect guests will stay for the full duration due to experience all the fun activities taking place.
